The Stream was the flagship project of Rainwater Studios, designed to bring original singer/songwriters and independent bands from South Central Indiana to the world. We’ve featured over 150 unique performances and built a dedicated following of music fans who support our shows both online and as part of our intimate live studio audience.
Tune In To The Stream
Previously a weekly production, The Stream has scaled back as our other projects have ramped up. But this doesn’t mean that we’re done with our live streams! Rainwater Studios currently schedules one to two streams a month on Thursday evenings. We go live to both Facebook and YouTube, though we recommend watching on YouTube for the best audio and video quality.
Bringing Back The Backwaters
We’re excited to bring back The Backwaters in 2026. This is an exclusive after-hours live stream that takes place after The Stream. In The Backwaters, things get a little looser and a lot more spontaneous. This is where you’ll see unexpected collaborations, off-the-cuff covers, and obliging audience requests.
The Backwaters streams exclusively to our Patreon supporters. You can access the show for as little as $5 a month, or purchase access to a single episode for just $5 per show.

Step through the doors and you’ll find yourself in a fully outfitted audio and video studio designed for serious production and unforgettable live experiences.
With professional-grade technology and seating for a small studio audience, the contrast is part of the magic: high-tech creation in a setting that slows you down, sharpens your focus, and reminds you why you make music in the first place.

We have ten theater seats for our live studio audience. Each seat is equipped with its own set of headphones and independent volume controls, so you can hear the mix just as it’s being delivered to our online viewers.

You can reserve seats for Thursday night episodes of The Stream for free on EventBrite. We have a suggested $20 donation at the door to help support our production. Patreon subscribers get early access to these limited RSVPs.
